Cowcliffe to the Railway Station
There is no station in Cowcliffe, so any rail journey opens with a car down into Huddersfield Railway Station at St George’s Square, HD1 1JB, which carries the mainline connections towards Leeds, Manchester and services beyond.
The distance is modest, but the timing needs a little thought. Traffic through the town centre at busy periods can absorb more of your margin than you planned for, and trains do not wait. Early departures are easier to manage when our train station taxi service is booked before travel day rather than called for on the morning.
The other direction matters too, particularly coming back up the hill with a suitcase at the end of a long journey, when a car already waiting is worth a good deal.
Regular commuters can arrange a standing booking so the same journey runs on the same days without rebooking. Tell us about any luggage so a suitable vehicle is sent.
Check your train service and any replacement transport before booking, as engineering works can change station arrangements.
