Rail Travel from Elland
A new railway station for Elland is a current development project, but it is not yet an active passenger station, so nobody can catch a train from Elland at present. Rail travel from the town still means a car to a station elsewhere.
Brighouse Railway Station on Railway Street and Halifax Station are both active and are the practical options, with the right one depending on where you are heading rather than which happens to be closer to your door. For some mainline journeys, Huddersfield Railway Station at St George’s Square may fit better. We run to all three.
For an early service, our train station taxi service is best arranged before travel day, with the car booked for the time you actually need rather than called for on the morning.
Collections matter just as much, particularly for late trains or when you are coming back with luggage and facing the last stretch home. Commuters travelling on set days can arrange a standing booking so the journey runs without being rebooked each week.
Check your train service and any replacement transport before booking, as engineering works can change station arrangements.
